Elaine Oswald, Art Therapist in NYC

I am a NY State licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with over twenty years in practice. I am board certified by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) and received my Master’s in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute. I am also a somatic psychotherapist, Certified Core Energetics Practitioner, and completed training in Hakomi (a mindfulness-based body-centered psychotherapy), Attachment-Focused EMDR, and received the Advanced Certificate in Trauma and Dissociation from the ISSTD.

I specialize in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), adults who grew up with a sibling with a developmental disability, and with people who are struggling with anxiety.

In addition to my private practice, my professional experience has included 10 years working with children and families at an NYC agency, with a focus on trauma and resiliency. I have also worked with youth in foster care, children and teens with autism spectrum disorders, and adults in substance abuse recovery.
